Checking your access…
AllFreeTool is a free online guitar tuner that listens to your instrument through the microphone and tells you which note you are playing, which note you are aiming for, and how far off you are in cents. You can use the guitar mode that shows the six standard strings, or the chromatic mode that names any note you play. The audio never leaves your device.
It suits tuning up before a rehearsal, checking a string that keeps slipping, or learning the notes on a fretboard. The cents deviation tells you how far to turn a peg: under fifty cents is close enough for most playing, and the indicator tells you plainly whether you are sharp or flat.

Common questions
How does the tuner detect the note?+
It analyses the incoming audio in the browser, using autocorrelation to find the fundamental frequency and falling back to an FFT peak when the correlation is weak. That frequency is then mapped to the nearest note in equal temperament, which is why the readout settles as you hold a note cleanly.
What does the cents figure mean?+
One hundred cents is a semitone, the smallest interval in standard western tuning. A reading within about five cents is very close, and within fifty cents is usually good enough for playing. The indicator tells you whether you need to tune up or down to reach the target.
Why is no note detected?+
The tool reports when no sound is picked up, which usually means the microphone is muted, blocked, or too far from the instrument, or that the note was plucked too quietly. Holding the string rather than letting it ring, and plucking close to the microphone, usually resolves it.
Is my audio recorded or uploaded?+
No. The detection runs entirely on your own device with no network request and no recording is kept. Your playing is never transmitted, which also means the tuner works with no internet connection.
