Video SplitterNEW
Cut a video into time ranges or equal parts and download each clip
Checking your access…
AllFreeTool is a free online video splitter that cuts a long clip into separate pieces. You can either give it your own time ranges or ask for the video to be split into a set number of equal parts, and it produces each segment as its own file. The work happens in your browser with a local video engine, so the video is never uploaded to a server.
It suits breaking a long recording into chapters, splitting a class into separate lessons, cutting a long gameplay video into highlights, or dividing a trip video into daily clips. The equal-parts mode is the quickest option when you simply want the file in smaller pieces, while custom ranges give you exact control over where each cut falls.

Common questions
How do I choose between custom ranges and equal parts?+
Custom ranges let you decide exactly where each cut falls, which is what you want for chapters or lessons. Equal parts simply divides the duration evenly, which is the fastest way to break a long file into smaller pieces without thinking about the timings at all.
How many segments can I create?+
The number of equal parts must be a whole number between two and fifty. Every segment is processed in sequence rather than all at once, so more segments means a longer total processing time. Two to ten parts is a sensible range for most jobs.
What if the duration cannot be read?+
That happens with some containers whose metadata the browser cannot parse. The tool tells you to switch to the custom ranges mode, which does not need the total duration at all and lets you enter the cut points yourself.
Is the video uploaded anywhere?+
No. The file is read, cut and re-encoded inside your browser with no network request for the media. Your video never leaves your machine, and the only copies that exist are the segments you download.
