glTF to GLB ConverterNEW

Pack glTF into a single GLB, or split a GLB back into glTF and BIN

Completely free

Checking your access…

glTF and GLB are two packagings of the same 3D format. glTF is a JSON description whose geometry and textures usually live in separate files; GLB bundles that binary data into a single container, so one file carries the model, its materials, its textures and its animations. The AllFreeTool glTF to GLB converter moves freely between the two.

Toward glTF, the tool unpacks the binary buffer and hands you a .gltf plus a .bin. Toward GLB, it merges the JSON and the buffer into one distributable .glb. Before converting, you get a summary of mesh count, material count, texture count, animation count and the original generator string, so you can confirm the source file is complete. The whole conversion runs locally in your browser and no file is uploaded.

Why use glTF to GLB Converter on AllFreeTool?

🔁

Both Directions

Pack glTF into a single GLB, or split a GLB back into .gltf and .bin with one switch.

📦

One-File Delivery

A GLB carries geometry, materials, textures and animations together, so it never loses an asset in transit.

🧾

Pre-flight Check

Mesh, material, texture and animation counts plus the generator string are listed before you convert.

🔒

Local Conversion

Reading and writing the glTF container happens entirely in your browser, never on a server.

How to use glTF to GLB Converter

1

Upload the Source

Choose a .gltf or .glb file. A glTF must have its buffer embedded; merge external .bin files first.

2

Pick a Direction

Use glTF → GLB for a single-file package, or GLB → GLTF to split out JSON and binary.

3

Convert and Download

Press Convert, then download the result — GLB → glTF offers two separate downloads.

Common questions

Which is better, GLB or glTF?+

It depends on what you are doing. For distribution, upload, web embedding or engine import, a single GLB is simplest because textures cannot go missing. For version control, code review or hand-editing the structure, glTF's JSON is far easier to read and diff. The two express exactly the same scene — only the packaging differs.

Why does my glTF file refuse to convert?+

The usual reason is that the glTF references external .bin or texture files. GLB is a single-file format, so those resources have to be embedded in the JSON before it can be packed. Run the model through the 3D Format Converter first to obtain a self-contained glTF, then come back here to produce the GLB.

Does converting change how the model looks?+

No. Converting only changes the packaging: vertices, normals, UVs, material parameters, textures and animations are carried over as they are. Triangle count and rendering results stay identical before and after.

Why do textures become external links after GLB → glTF?+

The glTF specification explicitly allows textures to be referenced as separate files so browsers can cache them individually. The result lists the .gltf and the .bin together with any textures that exist; keep the downloaded files in the same folder so the links resolve.
