Photo BorderNEW

Add solid, gradient or double borders with padding and rounded corners

Completely free

Checking your access…

AllFreeTool is a free online tool that adds a professional border to a photo. You choose a solid, gradient or two-tone frame, set the border width and the inner padding, pick the colours, round the corners and add a soft shadow. The finished picture is drawn and downloaded in your browser, so the original photo is never uploaded anywhere.

It suits framing a profile picture, giving a screenshot a finished look, preparing a photo for a listing or a post, or adding a coloured edge to a plain image. A double frame with an inner pad reads like a mounted print, while a thin solid border is enough for a subtle, professional finish.

Common questions

What is the difference between border width and inner padding?+

The border width is the thickness of the frame itself, measured from the edge of the picture outwards. The inner padding is the extra space between the frame and the photo, and it is what creates the mounted-print look where the image appears to float inside the border.

Which formats can I add a border to?+

JPG, PNG and WebP images are supported, which covers photographs, screenshots and exported graphics alike. The result is rendered on a canvas in your browser and can be downloaded as a PNG.

What does the two-tone frame look like?+

The two-colour option alternates between your two chosen colours as it goes around the edge, producing a striped or chequered style border. It suits a playful or colourful result, while the solid and gradient options give a more restrained finish.

Is my photo uploaded to a server?+

No. The image is read into the page, the border is drawn on a canvas there, and the file is produced locally. No network request is made, so your photos never leave your device and nothing is stored after the page closes.
