Image CompareNEW

Put two images side by side or overlay them to spot differences

Completely free

Checking your access…

AllFreeTool is a free online image comparison tool that puts two pictures side by side so you can see exactly what changed. Choose a side-by-side layout, a sliding divider that wipes between the two, or a difference mode that highlights every pixel that does not match. Export the result as a PNG when you need to share it. Everything happens locally in your browser.

It suits checking a before and after edit, comparing two design drafts, verifying that a mockup matches the original artwork, or spotting the small differences in two renders of the same scene. The difference mode reports how large a share of the image actually changed, which is more precise than squinting at two thumbnails.

Common questions

What does the difference mode show?+

It compares the two images pixel by pixel and marks every region where the colours do not match, in red, against a light background. A summary tells you what share of the total area differs, so you can tell a real edit from a barely visible shift.

What is the slider mode for?+

The slider draws a vertical divider across the picture, with the first image on one side and the second on the other. Dragging the divider lets you wipe across the same area of both images, which makes fine changes in the same spot easy to spot.

Will big images slow the tool down?+

The comparison is done on a canvas in the browser, so very large files would be slow to compare pixel by pixel. To keep it responsive, pictures with a long side beyond two thousand pixels are scaled down for the difference calculation, while the side-by-side and slider views still use the full size.

Are my images uploaded?+

No. Both files are read into the page and drawn locally, with no network request at any point. Nothing is stored on a server, so images that are not yours to share stay on your own device.
