Common questions
Which CSV encodings are supported?＋
Both UTF-8 and GBK encoded files are handled, which covers exports from Chinese and English spreadsheet applications alike. If the characters come out wrong, the file was saved in a different encoding and needs to be re-saved as UTF-8 before it will display correctly.
How are the columns laid out?＋
The number of columns comes from the widest row in the file, and the table is scaled to fit the printable width of the page you selected. If you have very many columns, choosing the landscape orientation gives each one more room to breathe.
What does the header option do?＋
With the first row treated as a header, that row is printed in bold above the data and the page repeats it at the top of every subsequent page, which is what you want for a long table. Turn the option off when your first row is real data.
Is the CSV uploaded anywhere?＋
No. The file is parsed by a small reader inside the page and the PDF is written there too, with no network request at any point. Sensitive exports never leave your own machine, and there is no account to create.
