PDF ImpositionNEW
Place PDF pages on a sheet in N-up grids or booklet order
Checking your access…
AllFreeTool is a free online PDF imposition tool that rearranges the pages of a document onto larger sheets, the way a professional print shop does it. You can place several pages on one sheet in an N-up layout, or arrange the pages as a booklet with the correct fold order, and the tool generates the imposed file for you. It all runs locally in your browser.
It suits booklet printing, folding a document into a booklet, placing two A4 pages on one A3 sheet to print on a smaller printer, or preparing pages for a press. The mode also reports in advance how many source pages will become how many sheets, so you can check the arithmetic before committing to a large print run.

Common questions
What is the difference between N-up and booklet mode?+
N-up simply places several document pages side by side on one sheet, which is useful for reducing the number of printed sheets. Booklet mode puts the pages in the sequence a folded booklet needs, so that when the sheets are stacked and folded the pages read in the right order.
What do contain and cover mean here?+
Contain scales each page down so the whole page fits inside the area, leaving a margin around it. Cover scales the page up to fill the area and trims the overflow, which gives a full-bleed look but loses the edges of the original page.
Why is there a gutter setting?+
The gutter is the extra space reserved along the binding edge. Saddle-stapled booklets need a little more room there because the pages fold into the spine, so a larger gutter prevents the content near the fold from being swallowed by the binding.
Is my PDF uploaded to a server?+
No. The pages are re-arranged and written into a new file entirely in your browser, with no network request involved. The imposition happens on your own machine, so confidential documents never leave it.
