GIF CropperNEW
Crop any region of every frame while keeping timing and the loop intact
Checking your access…
AllFreeTool's GIF Cropper cuts any rectangle out of an animated GIF while keeping the animation, the frame timing and the loop count intact. It is free, needs no installation and no signup: load a file, drag the area you want to keep, and the crop is applied to every frame at once instead of only the first one. Numeric fields for the offsets, width and height let you match an exact pixel grid when the rectangle has to line up with a layout.
Cropping happens locally in the browser, so the animation is never uploaded and nothing is stored. The usual jobs are trimming black bars or a recording toolbar, tightening a frame around a character or logo, and cutting a wide banner down to a square for a social post. Because only pixel indices are rewritten, colors and playback speed come out untouched, and the preview updates as soon as the box changes.
Why use GIF Cropper on AllFreeTool?
Drag Or Type The Box
Drag a rectangle over the preview, or enter the offset, width and height directly for an exact crop.
Timing Left Alone
Frame delays, disposal methods and loop count survive the crop, so the animation still plays at its original pace.
Local Pixel Surgery
The file is read, cropped and written back inside your browser, with no upload and no server copy.
No Signup, No Fee
Crop as many GIFs as you need for free, without an account or a watermark.
How to use GIF Cropper
Load The GIF
Drop an animated GIF and use the preview to see where the area you want sits in the frame.
Draw The Crop Box
Drag a rectangle, or type the x and y offsets plus width and height for a precise result; reset if you overshoot.
Crop And Save
Press Crop GIF, check the smaller preview, then download the cropped animation.
Common questions
Does cropping a GIF cost anything?+
No. The cropper is free and works without an account, there is no limit on how many files you process, and the output carries no watermark. Only your browser's memory limits the frame count you can handle.
Does cropping change colors, speed or looping?+
Normally no. The tool rewrites the pixel indices inside each frame, leaving palette entries, delays, disposal methods and the loop block untouched, so a crop is visually identical apart from the missing edges.
Why did the file get smaller, or occasionally bigger?+
A smaller canvas means fewer pixels per frame, so the file usually shrinks. It can grow slightly when the crop removes areas that the source encoded very efficiently, since each frame still needs its own data blocks and headers. Comparing previews is the quickest check.
Can I follow a moving subject with the crop?+
No. One fixed rectangle is applied to every frame, so a subject that drifts across the canvas will leave the box. For that case, split the GIF into PNG frames with the frame extractor, crop each frame individually, and rebuild the animation from the images.
