Online TimerNEW
Count down or up with presets and a sound when time is up
Checking your access…
AllFreeTool is a free online timer that counts down or counts up, with presets for common durations and a sound plus a flashing title when the time is up. You can switch between countdown and stopwatch mode, and start, pause, resume or reset at any point. It runs purely in your browser, so there is nothing to install and nothing to upload.
Use it for a short break, a batch of work, a kitchen timer, a presentation slot, or a countdown before a livestream starts. The preset list covers the usual lengths so a two minute or ten minute timer is one click away, and the end alert means you can walk away from the screen without missing it.

Common questions
How do I set a precise duration?+
Type the hours, minutes and seconds into the three separate fields, or click one of the preset buttons for a standard length. The timer then counts down from that exact total and displays the remaining hours, minutes and seconds as it runs.
Will I be told when the time is up?+
Yes. When the countdown reaches zero the tool plays an end sound and makes the browser tab title flash, which is the part that still works when the tab is in the background. You can pause, resume and reset at any point without losing the remaining time.
What is the difference between countdown and countup mode?+
Countdown mode counts down from the duration you set towards zero and stops there, which suits a break or a deadline. Countup mode, also called stopwatch mode in this panel, starts at zero and counts upward for as long as you leave it running, which suits timing an activity.
Does the timer keep running if I change tabs?+
The timing is driven by the browser clock rather than by counting ticks, so it stays accurate even while the tab is not in the foreground. Because it is a pure page-side tool, nothing is uploaded and it keeps working with no network connection.
